Richard Godfrey Tea Pots
Morph Teapot & Lime Bi-valve
Exhausted Salmon
Fenixtrio
Rooster Tea Pot
Lime Bi-valve
Purple Beaky
These tea pots are all slab built like my pyramid teapot below, and then sprayed with these bright colourful glazes. The glazes are inspired by the colours of the mediterranean country side where Richard spent some of his child hood.
I enjoy all the bright glazes used on these teapots. Its different to any other glazes that i have used or seen. plus it grabs your attention when you look at it. The shapes are really interesting and different to what you would consider a normal teapot. these are mainly used as decorative pieces but also as domestic ware.
Richard Notkin Tea Pots
Heart Tea Pot
I like the way that something simple as the human heart can be transformed into a teapot.
Pyramidal Skull Tea Pot Military Intelligence \
This teapot was the influence for my pyramid teapot.
Nuclear Nuts Tea Pot
These pots are really interesting to look at. Richard has used a varity of different objects to create a teapot. Nuclear bomb, peanuts and nuclear waste barrels.
Pyramid Tea Pot (small machete)
This Pyramid tea pot is slab built, with the spout being thrown on the wheel then modified to the desired shape and the handle I pulled and fitted to the pot. This is heavy influenced by Richard Godfrey and Richard Notkin. This is very similar to what they create for domestic ware.
